“A woman with a voice is, by definition, a strong woman. But the search to find that voice can be remarkably difficult.”
– Melinda Gates, Philanthropist
Focusing on You
Who am I as a woman?
What does it mean to be a woman today? Maybe you are primarily a wife, partner, mom, or career-focused. No matter how you see yourself or the different hats you wear, you’ve probably tried to dig deep to discover more joy and your true self, but your attempts failed.
Negotiating life can sometimes feel like a trap. You just want to scream and let the world know you have a voice, an opinion, and are in pain. Perhaps you feel frustrated because you know you’re not fully tapping into your amazing potential and negative beliefs are keeping you discouraged and immobilized.
Are there failures you can’t seem to move past? Is it a broken relationship? Is it that you’re not pursuing your true passions? Is it an inability to feel joy in everyday living? What you may not ever have been taught is that anything is possible. You can manifest anything you wish.
The Path Inward
Change is a natural and constant occurrence. With change comes the opportunity to grow, see new possibilities, and discover that life can be a fulfillment of whatever you wish and dream, a life well lived and one consumed with happiness. What gets in the way for us women is not recognizing this.
We look outward to compare ourselves with social norms or to others and we can become our own worst judges, telling ourselves where we don’t measure up. The path inward has the answers that we won’t find outside of ourselves. In that process, we examine our desires and fears and what is holding us back. Breaking through those barriers opens the doorway to positive change.
You don’t have to wait, telling yourself it’s not the right time or any other excuses that are just delaying what you might discover “someday.” There is no shame in asking for help and wanting more out of life. It is not a weakness but a strength.
At WomensWrk we understand how to move you through your emotional challenges, help you uncover your resilience, and direct you in finding your best self, values, needs, desires, dreams, and passions.
